Menschen im Autismus-Spektrum Räume zu geben, in denen sie leben, arbeiten und wachsen können – selbstbestimmt und in ihrem eigenen Tempo.
Wir sind uns bewusst, dass dieser Weg nur möglich wird, weil Menschen an uns glauben, Türen öffnen und bereit sind, gemeinsam Verantwortung zu tragen.
Sizilien schenkt uns dafür nicht nur einen Ort, sondern auch ein Umfeld, das Werte wie Gemeinschaft, Fürsorge, Respekt und gelebte Menschlichkeit tief verwurzelt.
Wir möchten Potenziale sichtbar machen, Fähigkeiten fördern und Strukturen entwickeln, die autistisches Leben nicht über das Defizit definieren, sondern über das, was möglich ist.

LumaTruePath richtet sich an Menschen im Autismus-Spektrum, ihre Familien sowie an Fachkräfte, Institutionen und öffentliche Partner, die neue Wege im Umgang mit Autismus suchen.
Im Mittelpunkt steht eine doppelte Perspektive: die Verbindung von fachlicher Erfahrung und gelebtem Familienalltag mit autistischen Menschen. Diese Verbindung prägt unser Verständnis von Entwicklung, Unterstützung und echter Entlastung.
LumaTruePath entsteht bewusst in Sizilien – in einem kulturellen Umfeld, das stark von Familie, Nähe, gegenseitiger Unterstützung und sozialem Zusammenhalt geprägt ist. Diese gewachsene Struktur bildet die Grundlage für einen Ort, an dem Beziehung und Menschlichkeit im Alltag selbstverständlich gelebt werden.
Gerade im Bereich Autismus zeigen viele bestehende Systeme stark strukturierte und verhaltensorientierte Ansätze. Diese können Orientierung bieten, stoßen jedoch an Grenzen, wenn individuelle Bedürfnisse, emotionale Entlastung und persönliche Entwicklung im Mittelpunkt stehen. LumaTruePath setzt hier ergänzend an und schafft Räume, die stärker auf Beziehung, Wahrnehmung und Selbstbestimmung ausgerichtet sind.

Die Zusammenarbeit mit den lokalen Comuni und der sizilianischen Gemeinschaft ist dabei ein zentraler Bestandteil. LumaTruePath versteht sich nicht als isoliertes Projekt, sondern als Teil eines gewachsenen sozialen und kulturellen Umfelds.
Sizilien ist nicht nur Standort, sondern aktiver Mitgestalter dieses Ansatzes – durch seine soziale Struktur, seine kulturelle Haltung und sein Verständnis von Gemeinschaft.
LumaTruePath versteht sich als ergänzender Erfahrungs-, Lebens- und Entwicklungsraum. Ein Ort, an dem unterschiedliche Perspektiven zusammenkommen und neue, tragfähige Formen des Miteinanders entstehen – im direkten Austausch mit der Region, ihren Menschen und ihren Strukturen.

Who LumaTruePath is for
LumaTruePath is aimed at autistic people, their families, as well as professionals, institutions, and public partners who are seeking new approaches in the field of autism.
At its core is a dual perspective: the combination of professional expertise and lived family experience with autistic individuals. This combination shapes our understanding of development, support, and genuine relief in everyday life.
LumaTruePath is being created in Sicily – within a cultural environment strongly shaped by family, closeness, mutual support, and social cohesion. This living structure forms the foundation for a place where relationship and humanity are naturally integrated into daily life.
In the field of autism, many existing systems rely on highly structured and behavior-oriented approaches. While these can provide orientation, they often reach their limits when it comes to individual needs, emotional relief, and personal development. LumaTruePath takes a complementary approach, creating spaces that are more focused on relationship, perception, and self-determination.
This includes:
autistic children, adolescents, and adults
parents, relatives, and caregivers
professionals in education, therapy, and social work
schools, kindergartens, and social institutions
local municipalities and communities (Comuni) in Sicily
regional and public authorities as well as social networks
organizations aiming to develop more inclusive structures
Collaboration with local Comuni and the Sicilian community is a central part of the project. LumaTruePath is not an isolated initiative but part of a living social and cultural environment.
Sicily is not only the location, but an active co-creator of this approach through its social fabric, cultural values, and sense of community.
LumaTruePath is a complementary space for experience, living, and development. A place where different perspectives come together and new, sustainable forms of coexistence can emerge – in direct connection with the region, its people, and its structures.

Unsere Motivation
Unsere Arbeit entspringt einer tiefen inneren Haltung: Respekt, Achtsamkeit und Mitgefühl sind für uns nicht nur Worte, sondern gelebte Werte – getragen von einem Gefühl von Familie, Verbundenheit und echtem Miteinander.
Die offene, herzliche und tief verwurzelte Kultur Siziliens hat uns schon vor langer Zeit berührt. Sie ist geprägt von einem starken Familiensinn, von gegenseitiger Fürsorge, von einem selbstverständlichen Miteinander der Generationen. In ihr haben wir etwas gefunden, das wir lange in Deutschland gesucht haben: ein echtes Gefühl von Ankommen, von Zuhause sein. Eine Kultur, in der Gemeinschaft, Nähe und Menschlichkeit nicht nur Worte sind, sondern täglich gelebt werden.
Seit vielen Jahren begleiten wir als LAAMKA-Team Menschen in herausfordernden Lebenssituationen:
Menschen mit Behinderung und Familien in tiefer Verzweiflung. Doch was wir ihnen geben, ist mehr als Unterstützung – es ist das Gefühl, gesehen zu werden, angenommen zu sein, Teil einer Gemeinschaft, Teil einer Familie zu sein. Jede Begegnung ist für uns ein stilles Versprechen: Du bist nicht allein.
Unsere Arbeit ist jedoch noch viel mehr: Seit über 35 Jahren leben wir mit dem Thema Autismus – Autismus ist Teil unserer Familien, unseres Alltags, unseres Herzens. Wir kennen die Herausforderungen, die Sorgen, aber auch die besonderen Stärken und die Einzigartigkeit jedes einzelnen autistischen Menschen. Aus diesem gelebten Erleben ist eine tiefe, ehrliche Verbindung aus Fachlichkeit und Empathie gewachsen – ein Verstehen, das nicht nur aus Wissen, sondern aus echtem Leben entsteht.
In meiner Rolle als Vorstand von Selbstbestimmt Autistisch 2019 e.V. trage ich diese Haltung seit vielen Jahren in die Welt.
Mit Lumatruepath hat sie nun in Sizilien ihren Platz, ihre Heimat gefunden – nicht nur als Projekt, sondern als Zuhause.
Ein Zuhause, getragen vom Geist der sizilianischen Kultur – offen, warm, familiär.

Our Motivation
Our work is rooted in a deep inner attitude: respect, mindfulness, and compassion are not just words to us, but lived values – carried by a strong sense of family, connection, and genuine togetherness.
The open, warm, and deeply rooted culture of Sicily touched us many years ago. It is shaped by a strong sense of family, mutual care, and a natural togetherness across generations. In it, we found something we had long been searching for in Germany: a true sense of arriving, of being at home. A culture where community, closeness, and humanity are not just ideals, but lived every day.
For many years, as the LAAMKA team, we have supported people in challenging life situations:
people with disabilities and families in deep distress. What we offer goes beyond support – it is the feeling of being seen, accepted, and part of a community, part of a family. Every encounter carries a quiet promise: you are not alone.
Our work is also deeply personal: for over 35 years, autism has been part of our lives – part of our families, our daily reality, and our hearts. We understand the challenges, the worries, but also the unique strengths and individuality of every autistic person. From this lived experience, a deep and honest connection between professional expertise and empathy has grown – an understanding shaped not only by knowledge, but by real life.
In my role as chairman of Selbstbestimmt Autistisch 2019 e.V., I have carried this attitude into the world for many years.
With Lumatruepath, it has now found its place and its home in Sicily – not just as a project, but as a true home.

A cultura siciliana, aperta, caura e china di spiritu, ni tuccò già tanti anni fa. È na cultura unni a famigghia havi nu postu centrali, unni ci sunnu cura, vicinanza e rispettu tra li generazzioni. Da tanti anni, comu squadra LAAMKA, accumpagnamu pirsuni in situazzioni difficili:
pirsuni cu disabilità e famigghi ‘n granni duluri. Chiddu ca dunamu nun è sulu aiutu – è u sintimentu di essiri visti, accittati e parti di na famigghia. Ogni incontru porta nu missaggiu silenziosu: nun si sulu.
U nostru travagghiu è macari assai pirsunali: di cchiù di 35 anni vivemu cu l’autismu – è parti di a nostra famigghia, di a nostra vita e di u nostru cori. Canuscemu i difficoltà, i pinsieri, ma puru i forzi e a unicità di ogni pirsuna autistica. Di sta spirienza nascìu na ligatura forti tra cumpitenza e sintimentu – na capiscitura ca veni di a vita vera.
